Samy Mehsen is the Business Development Lead within Atlas Elektronik UK (AEUK). Joining the Royal Navy (RN) in 2004 as a Weapons Engineering Apprentice, he served in Surface Ships for the first three years of his career, before transitioning into the Submarine Service. Serving in both Swiftsure, Trafalgar and Vanguard Class Submarines, he was fortunate enough to take a commission and become a Weapons Engineering Officer in 2010. Leaving service in 2015, he headed up the Sonar Product Area – Submarines within AEUK, working with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) as well as global export customers.

Taking a role as the BAE Systems Chief Engineer for In Service Submarines, Samy led a team of 25+ engineers supporting RN Submarines at the Waterfront, as well identifying and delivering capability updates and upgrades to support the end-user.

Returning to AEUK in 2020, Samy now works across the Business supporting the Division Hd’s of Sales & Product Management to ensure that opportunities and customer engagement is co-ordinated, in meeting the needs of our customer base.
