Rogier is senior scientist and project manager for topics relating to survivability of (naval) platforms, with a special interest in ballistics, ballistic protection and fire development across a warship after a threat weapon attack. He works on solutions to increase the resilience of ships and to safeguard its crew. Developing fundamental knowledge and research into practical products is an aspect of the work at TNO he particularly likes. Over the past couple of years the team of Ship Vulnerability within TNO has developed expertise to model damage control actions in a battle damaged ship. Rogier has a background in applied physics.
