Paul Santry
Joined the Royal Navy in 1986 with tours on HMS BRAVE, ACTIVE, COVENTRY, EXETER and ILLUSTRIOUS. Commissioned for Special Duties Seaman Communicator Warfare Branch in 1998. After a short spell serving as Officer of the Watch on HMS BRECON and ATHERSTONE returned as a deep specialist in C4ISTAR with appointments to DCSA Whitehall, HQDCSA Corsham, HMS COLLINGWOOD Maritime Warfare Centre & Maritime Warfare School, PJHQ Operation TELIC 11 and 12, Dstl, NCHQ, Navy Digital, UKMCC Bahrain and Defence Digital. These roles were focused on supporting interoperability in particular UK/US, AUSCANNZUKUS, UK/FR, NATO and Federated Mission Networking (FMN). In December 2019 compulsory transferred from the Warfare to the Weapons Engineering Branch.
On completion 35 years in the Royal Navy joined Dstl in 2021 to take up the post of Principal Consultant within the Cyber and Information Systems Division supporting a number of projects that include maintaining UK communications network and communications capability, Zero Trust Approach at the Tactical Edge and Navy Strike Network covering support for NATO IST FMN/Tactical Edge panels and technical support to AUSCANNZUKUS Maritime Information Warfare organisation. An active committee member for AFCEA South and supports the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists.
