Commander (OF-4) (ENG) HN Paris Kalavrytinos joined the Hellenic Naval Academy in 1997 and was commissioned as an Ensign (OF-1) of the Hellenic Navy in 2001.

Assignments
He qualified as a Marine Engineer Officer from the Hellenic Naval Academy and has served onboard several surface units, such as Destroyers, Frigates and Landing Ships.
He has been privileged to become Chief Engineer of the LST HS SAMOS (L-174) and the FFG HS KANARIS (F-464). Shore assignments have included posts in the Operations Department of the Hellenic Fleet HQ, in the Fleet
Operational Standards and Training Organization [FOST(S)] of the Royal Navy at Plymouth and in the Marine Engines Repair Department at Salamis Naval Base.
Before his current posting as a member of the inspection teams of the Hellenic Navy Inspection General, he headed the ΜΕ, LE and DC division of Operational Training and Evaluation Directorate of the Hellenic Fleet and served as a SDCO for the FOST(S).

Academic Training and Qualifications
Paris Kalavrytinos has attended the Hellenic Naval Staff School as a Lieutenant (OF-2) and the Hellenic Supreme Join War College as a Commander. He is specialized trained in CBRNDC aspects, Teaching Methods and Gas Turbine maintenance.
He was promoted to Commander in 2022.

Commander Paris Kalavrytinos is married and has two daughters.
