Kurt Muhler
CAPT Muhler arrived at NATO SOFCOM in February of 2021, prior to arrival he served as the Commanding Officer of Special Boat Team 22 (SBT-22) in Bay St. Louis, MS. He has served in tactical leadership roles at SEAL Team 1, 3, 5, Special Boat Team 12, and Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Unit 3. Staff assignments include NSW Group 1 & 2, Naval Special Warfare Command, OPNAV N131, Expeditionary Strike Group ONE (LHA-1 U.S.S. Tarawa), and Special Operations Command AFRICA. CAPT Muhler is a 2000 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, 2014 graduate of Harvard Kennedy School of Government, U.S. Army Airborne and Ranger qualified, small craft Patrol Officer and has completed Joint Professional Military Education Phase I though the Air Command and Staff College Distance Learning Program. CAPT Muhler currently resides in Waterloo, Belgium with his wife Anna and three children.
