Commander Engineer Jose Manuel Martínez Ruiz was born in Santa Maria de Cayón, in 1968. After finishing his College degree in Physics, he joined the Spanish Navy in 1995, as a temporary military member. Later and after completing his College studies on Electronic Engineering, in 2000, he became in a permanent Officer, joining the Engineer Corps.

CURRENT DESTINATION: Frigate F-110 Program Office (Directorate of Armament and Material).

Since JUN 21 up to now, he belongs to the F-110 Program Office. Responsible for the procurement of military material and equipment in the Systems Technical Area, and the head of the project´s Logistics Area, as well. Systems Area, mainly developing the following tasks: a) Definition and building up purchase technical specifications, providers assessing Process and subsequent negotiation stage. b) Identification and assessment of risks concerning each supply. c) Drive active participation of the whole stakeholders, including operational personnel. d) Planning and development of trials/testing procedures. For instance, highlight contracts with regards to the Integrated Navigation System (Aeromarine), Integrated Sonar Suite (Thales), SENDA (GMV), Navigation Data Distribution System (Indra), Inertial Navigation System (Ixblue), etc. In the case of Logistics Area, carry out activities regarding logistics support requirements, maintenance management, aid facilities, training and formation, and auxiliar material in the Logistics structure.
