James Schnadhorst
Cdr J Schnadhorst joined the Royal Navy in 1983, progressed through the Warfare pathway qualifying as a PWO Underwater in 1992. Thereafter roles at sea in Operations and Training cemented his fundamental understanding of Force Anti Submarine Warfare. Postedin 2012 to NATO and MARCOM, in various posts, his focus has evolved from supporting NATO ASW Exercises and training to a more capability orientated position. As the Official Person Responsible for NATO’s first Unmanned Systems Exercise DYNAMIC MESSENGER (DYMS) in 2022 he has continued to support and promote the evolution of Emergent and Disruptive technologies into NATO exercises and Operations. Most recently he supported the design and execution of NATO’s first DYMS small scale event in the Baltic to test the Force Protection capabilities of the Standing Naval Forces.
