Ats Janno is currently the Head of the permanent Project Management Bureau at the Estonian Center for Defence Investments, a procurement agency serving the Estonian Defence Forces and Ministry of Defence. Hailing from the vibrant city of Tallinn in Estonia, Ats pursued his academic journey at Tallinn University of Technology, graduating in 2005 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He furthered his expertise by attaining EstQF Level 7 in Construction Management.

Driven by a passion for advancing project management practices, Ats's professional goals revolve around creating and evolving project management frameworks and standards within his organization, particularly focusing on innovation challenges within defence procurement projects.

His notable achievements include serving as the Estonian point of contact for various high-profile projects under the European Defence Agency (EDA) CAPTECH LAND and PESCO. Additionally, he has represented Estonia in European Defence Fund (EDF) unmanned ground and sea vehicle initiatives and has excelled as the project manager for the EUROGUARD/M-SASV project, where he is acting as the representative of Estonia, a lead nation in the endeavor.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Ats finds solace in hiking and cherishes spending quality time with his family and children.
