Jamie Joined the Royal Navy in Jan 1997 as a OM(TSM) Volunteer submariner 1997 HMS Splendid – OM(TSM) Took Splendid from refit in Rosyth after first fit for TLAM. 1998 HMS Splendid – San Diego for first successful test flights of TLAM. 1999 HMS Splendid – Operations in Kosovo (TLAM) awarded Kosovo medal. 2000 HMS Vengeance – Deterrent Patrols. 2001 HMS Splendid – Operations in the Middle east (TLAM) awarded OP Veritis Medal 2002 HMS Splendid – Operations in the Middle east (TLAM) awarded Afghanistan Medal 2003 HMS Splendid – Took into decommissioning. 2x Patrols on HMS Victorious. 2003-4 HMS Vigilant- Deterrent Patrols. 2005 Branch transferred to WESM (Mech) 2006-11 HMS Vengeance- Deterrent Patrols. 2011-12 CS naval applicator for A-Class boats in build. 2012-17 HMS Vigilant/Vengeance- Deterrent Patrols. 2017-18 MCSU Comms Senior naval applicator. 2018-22 HMS Victorious/ Vengeance – (WOTWS) Deterrent Patrols. 2022-Present SMERAS- Jamie joined SMERAS as an Instructor, He is one of only two non commissioned officers to qualify as the UKs Co-Ordinator Rescue Forces (CRF), and has been a lead figure in the UK’s new Dis-sub Support Group (DSG). This new capability formally replaced the SPAG in 2024. Emphasising the Royal Navy’s global role in submarine rescue, the DSG concept is now being adopted globally. Jamie and the DSG team have just returned from the NATO exercise Dynamic Monarch 24 in Norway demonstrating their capabilities. Jamie lives in North Lincolnshire with his wife Gaynor, he enjoys nice long walks in the countryside, which helps with two energetic dogs. Also Jamie likes to send his spare time in the garden,
