Director, Submarine Programs, US Navy
Vice Admiral Gaucher is a 1991 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. He served on USS Flying Fish (SSN 673), USS Oklahoma City (SSN 723), and USS Maryland (SSBN 738) (BLUE). He commanded USS City of Corpus Christi and as Commodore, Submarine Development Squadron 5. His flag tours include director, Maritime Headquarters (N03)-U.S. Pacific Fleet, Commander, Submarine Group 9/Task Group 114.3, and director, Strategic Integration (N2N6T) on the Navy staff. He most recently served as Commander, Naval Submarine Forces; Commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet; and Commander, Allied Submarine Command. In his current position as Director, Submarine Programs, Gaucher is responsible for all acquisition and sustainment of the United States’ underwater deterrent.
