Vice Admiral Ewa Skoog-Haslum

Vice Admiral Ewa Skoog Haslum is a surface warfare officer and is since November 2024 serving as Chief Joint Operations. Prior to her current position she served as Chief of the Royal Swedish Navy. VADM Skoog Haslum started her career as a conscript in 1987. She was commissioned as an officer in 1990. Before assuming the position in the Swedish Defence University, she completed a command tour as Commander 4th Naval Warfare Flotilla in Stockholm. She has also held staff positions at the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters as well as at the Naval flotilla level. 2006–2008, VADM Skoog Haslum commanded the Swedish corvette HSwMS Sundsvall, including deployment to the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon, UNIFIL (2007). The tour as commanding officer was the capstone of her operational career afloat. Between 2017 and 2020 she served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the Swedish Defence University. Besides her regular duties at the Swedish Armed Forces, VADM Skoog Haslum has served as the ADC to Her Royal Highness, Crown Princess Victoria.
