Steve Wills is a seasoned maritime safety and drowning prevention specialist with over 25 years of experience. His career began at the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, where he played a key role in establishing its international department. With deep expertise in disaster risk reduction, public health, and community resilience, Steve has collaborated with leading global organisations, including the World Health Organization and UNICEF._x000d_

Currently, he serves as a Project Specialist with the International Maritime Rescue Federation, leveraging his experience to enhance global search and rescue operations. Steve also sits on several international boards and technical committees, contributing to SAR and lifesaving policy and programme development. Having led projects in over 30 countries, he specialises in integrating drowning prevention into existing programmes and government systems. He holds a BSc (Hons) and an MBA and is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership.
