Steve Hart acts as the Head of UK Business Development for the Maritime & Land Sector of BAE Systems.

Steve completed an 18 year career at sea in the Royal Navy as a Warfare Officer culminating in acquisition roles for Electronic Warfare and Situational Awareness. Joining BAE Systems in 2017, he initially provided Business Development management across the C5ISR portfolio within the Naval Ships business.

Assuming the role of Head of Business Development for Combat Systems in 2019, he has worked across the suite of

Combat Systems products including the UK’s Combat Management System and Shared Infrastructure. In executing this role

he has developed new business and captured future work whilst informing technology development to align to emerging

customer requirements.

Promoted to the Head of UK Business Development for the Maritime and Land Sector of BAE Systems in 2022, Steve is

focused in ensuring short term opportunity management is aligned to business strategy across Maritime & Land business

units.

Steve is married to Claire with two young children. Living in Brighton, his free time is devoted to his family. After family,

time is taken up with running and cycling over the seemingly endless hills of the South Downs and coaching and playing

football whenever his broken body will let him.
