Simon is the Royal Navy Key Account Manager and runs the maritime R&D business development sector at Frazer-Nash Consultancy.

A former surface warfare officer in the Royal Navy, Simon specialised in navigation; serving as navigator in Hunt Class minehunters, Type 23 frigates and lastly in both Albion Class Landing Platform Docks. In shore assignments Simon served as a Flag Officer Sea Training staff warfare officer training UK and NATO navies and worked in NCHQ within the outer office for a 3 star Admiral. In command assignments he commanded patrol ships, served as the second in command of a frigate and finally was Chief of Staff to the Royal Navy’s Littoral Response Group (North). Joining Frazer-Nash in September 2023, Simon provided the operator experience into various designs and projects including using AI/ML technology in rear line predictive maintenance, automatic target recognition and force threat evaluation.
