Second Lieutenant Richi Pamberg

Richi Pamberg serves as Second Engineer aboard the Estonian Navy vessel Sakala. He began his military service in 2018 and has held a variety of operational and leadership roles, including Squad Leader in the Scouts Battalion, deployment to Afghanistan in 2020, CV90 Gunner in 2021, and deployment to Mali in
2022. Later that year, he entered the Naval Branch of the Estonian Military Academy, specializing in engineering to further develop his technical expertise. In 2025, he served as Second Engineer aboard Admiral Cowan and joined Sakala in 2026. He is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and readiness of the ship’s propulsion, power generation, and technical systems, and actively leads damage control training and capability development onboard.
