Managing Director, Jered – Marine Systems Technology
With a passion for learning and always exploring new horizons, Ralph/I graduated first with a masters in civil engineering – public works, before completing two doctorate degrees in major civil infrastructure (bridges) and polymeric & elastomeric materials in nuclear applications, in France and the United Kingdom respectively. This has led to the achievement of a Chartered Engineer status and becoming a professional member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining in the UK. Ralph/I went on to qualify in finance and business management, completing an advanced diploma in management accountancy under the Chartered Institute of Management Accountancy (CIMA).
Exploiting his/my qualifications and multi-linguistic skills, Ralph/I undertook various roles in the Defence and Nuclear industries across many countries, stretching from the gulf of Oman in the Middle East to Victoria on Vancouver Island, in both the private and public sectors. Such responsibilities ranged from R&D, engineering design and production, operations programs delivery, finance management, to contracts negotiation and business development…
After 7 years in the Nuclear industry working for British Energy (currently EDF Energy) followed by 16 years in the Defence (Marine) Industry with the Babcock International Group, Ralph/I moved from his/my latest position as Head of Strategic Programmes at HM Naval Base in Devonport in the UK, to join the PAR Systems family as Managing Director of Jered – Marine Systems Technology (MST) in the UK.
Married with two children, Ralph/I has/have a great passion for the outdoors, particularly long-distance running, always grasping any opportunity, when he/I is/am not undertaking a home improvement project, to brave the unforgiving British weather!…
