Phil Craig is married with three children. He has extensive experience in engineering businesses and

has lived and worked across the UK, as well as extended periods in the US.

Phil is currently the Managing Director of the Programmes business area within Babcock International

Group’s Marine Sector. The Programmes business has a wide range and diverse portfolio covering

Advanced Manufacturing, Shipbuilding (out with AH140/Type 31), Rosyth Nuclear and In Service

Support, all delivered in both the UK and internationally.

Phil is an accomplished leader with a proven growth and operations background in complex

engineering programmes and services, delivering long-term, customer focused and sustainable

results. He has successfully led businesses, at a senior level, in the delivery of technically complex

programmes, across three highly regulated sectors, over a period of more than 15 years.

Prior to joining the Marine Sector in 2023, Phil led an Aviation business delivering Helicopter

Emergency Medical Services, Oil and Gas Crew Change, Search and Rescue, Military Support/MRO

and Military Flying Training Services within the UK, Africa and Europe.

Phil has also spent a significant period of his career in the civil and defence nuclear industry, focused

primarily on supporting the UK nuclear decommissioning, defence programmes and power generation

sectors. This culminated in Phil being appointed as the Managing Director of a category 1 Nuclear

licenced site in the UK between 2015 and 2018.

With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Phil is a high calibre executive with acumen for

business transformation, growth and a strong track record in delivery of strategic business objectives.
