Lorenzo Raciti

Lorenzo RACITI is the Programme Manager of the OCCAR HORIZON Programme Division.

Captain of Italian Navy, he was born in Livorno (Italy) on 10^th of August 1969.

He joined the Navy in 1988. He graduated in Telecommunication Engineering in 1996 at University of Pisa.

After serving on board IT NAVY warships, he held several assignments within defence procurement and Navy General Staff branches as:

• Head of the European Naval Programmes for the Italian Navy General Directorate for Weapons and Ships (Rome 10/2023 – 08/2025);
• Head of the Procurement, Financial and Commercial Department and Head of the Administrative Department of the Italian Navy Shipyard in Taranto (Taranto 10/2021 – 09/2023);
• Head of a Combat System Department for Combat Management Systems, Electronic Warfare Systems and Radars for the Italian Navy General Directorate (Rome 07/2019 – 09/2021)
• Head of the International Cooperation and Coordination Service for the Italian Navy General Directorate (Rome 03/2017 – 07/2019)
• Head of the Combat System Functional Integration Office for the Italian Navy General Staff (Rome 10/2015 -02/2017)
• Head of the Combat System Section for the efficiency of the ships for the Italian Navy Support Command in the Taranto Naval Base (Taranto 06/2013 – 10/2015)
• Head of the Combat System Section of the New Construction Department for the Italian Navy General Directorate (Rome 08/2010 – 06/2013)
• Combat System Officer Assistant and Risk Officer of the OCCAR Fremm Programme Division (Paris 05/2006 – 07/2010)
• Head of the Combat System Section for the Executive Planning Office of the Italian Navy Shipyard of Taranto – Italy (10/2000 – 05/2006)
• Head of the technical and operational branch onboard the Italian military LPD San Giusto (01/1998 – 10/2000)

In September 2025 he joined OCCAR as Programme Manager for the Horizon Programme Division.
