Liz Chislett-Milne is a defence and engineering professional whose career spans service in the Royal Navy and two decades working in the defence industry. After leaving the Navy, she built extensive experience in the shipbuilding and defence sectors, developing particular expertise in strategic business development, customer engagement and translating operational requirements into effective technical solutions.

Her defence career included senior commercial and business development responsibilities within the maritime sector. A notable achievement was her involvement in a major, multibillion-dollar ship design and construction proposal for the US Coast Guard. A senior US military officer and programme official who worked with her described her representation of VT Group as exceptionally professional, highlighting her product expertise, integrity, determination and ability to integrate customer requirements into proposed solutions.

Liz has also been recognised for her contribution to engineering. In 2015 she was featured as a “Woman Engineer of the Day” as part of National Women in Engineering Day, reflecting her role as a woman working in a traditionally male dominated technical and defence environment.

Today, Liz continues to work in the defence and security arena as part of Cold Cut Systems, where she is responsible for defence solutions. Her work connects military and emergency-response requirements with innovative technology, tactics and operational capability.

Alongside her professional career, Liz is the founder and former CEO of Grovely Pets, established in 2012, and remains an active supporter of the Armed Forces community. Her career reflects a distinctive combination of military experience, engineering knowledge, commercial leadership and a strong commitment to delivering practical solutions for defence and frontline users.
