Lieutenant Commander Arvins Fernandes

Lieutenant-Commander (Marine) Arvins Fernandes joined the Portuguese Naval Academy in 2003 and graduated in 2007 with a degree in Naval Military Sciences. He began his career as a Platoon Commander in a Marine Battalion and has since held several positions within the Portuguese Marine Corps, including Reconnaissance Platoon Commander, Executive Officer in a Combat Support Company, Head of Communications and Information Systems, Deputy Commander of a Marine Force, Battalion Operations Officer, and Commander of the Landing Craft Unit. He currently serves as Staff Officer for Plans and Operational Planning at the Plans & Policy Division of the Portuguese Naval Staff.
