Lieutenant Colonel Peter Bovet-Emanuel

Mr. Peter Bovet Emanuel is a Researcher/ Lecturer at the Swedish Defence University’s (SEDU) Centre for Special Operations Research (CSOR). His holds a PhD in War Studies at SEDU. In his dissertation, he explored role of artificial intelligence for decision advantages within military targeting practices. Mr. Bovet Emanuel is also a Lieutenant Colonel from the Swedish Special Forces with multiple combat tours in Africa, the greater Middle East and the Balkans. His SOF career of more than two decades has spanned operator to strategic advisory role, including research and development assignments. Before entering the academic world, he was the Director of Swedish Special Forces Battle Lab exploring future warfighting capabilities. His current research focus includes AI integration within C5ISRT, synthetic cognition and defence innovation.
