Kate Gregory has 28 years’ experience of Concept Development and Experimentation, Operational Modelling and Simulation and Mission Engineering. She has held several appointments across government and industry including Air Combat Specialist in the UK’s Defence Evaluation and Research Agency and Head of Operational Modelling and Simulation for Thales Group, defining the global strategy, methodology, tools, training, and skills, covering all domains from spacecraft to underwater systems.
Specialising in air combat, autonomous systems, and ISTAR, Kate has participated in several international organisations throughout her career, contributing to standards in Modelling and Simulation and CD&E. She was recognised as a European Defence Agency Expert and won the NDIA Award for Outstanding Contribution to Netcentric Warfare.
Kate has three boys and is a keen trail runner and occasional sailor. She took a short break from the defence industry to start a distillery, cocktail bar and tapas restaurant, exporting around the world and winning multiple awards including Best Bar in Surrey. She is currently a Managing Consultant at Frazer-Nash, applying Mission Engineering to challenging operational studies.
