Juan Luis Muñoz

Juan Luis Muñoz was born in Cartagena, Spain, in 1969. He studied Industrial Engineering in Madrid and has been working in Navantia since 1993. He is currently responsible for technological innovation in Control Systems. His previous experience includes:

• Developing an application to calculate the magnetic signature of minehunters.
• Designing and producing local operation panels for propulsion engines and diesel generators.
• Creating the human-machine interfaces for the control systems of ships for the Spanish Navy and other navies, including those of Thailand, Norway, Venezuela, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
• Leading big data and smart maintenance projects.
• Working on ship platform simulation projects, used both for engineering testing of control systems and for crew training.
