Jon leads the Mine Hunting Capability (MHC) Programme as Programme Director, driving delivery of the Royal Navy’s next-generation Mine Countermeasures (MCM) capability through cutting-edge Maritime Autonomous Systems (MAS). A seasoned Civil Service leader with deep maritime expertise, Jon spent a decade at sea rising to Chief Officer (XO/2IC), serving world-wide on container vessels with P&O Nedlloyd and on operations with the Strategic Sealift. Since coming ashore, he has held senior positions across the Civil Service, Ordnance Survey, and Maritime Education and Training in both public and private sectors. His portfolio spans autonomy, business transformation, programme and project management, and maritime training—bringing a proven track record of delivering complex change and innovation at scale.
