Combat System Officer for FREMM programme, OCCAR
He joined the Italian Navy in 1992 and graduated in Telecommunication Engineering in 1999 at University of Pisa. He has additional Master degrees in Optoelectronics (Roma Tre University) and International Strategic and Military Studies (Roma Tre University).
After serving on board IT NAVY warships as Weapon Engineer Officer, he held several assignments within defence procurement and ITA Defence General Staff branches:
Head of the Combat System Procurement Section of for the Italian Navy General Directorate (Rome)
Head of the Combat System Section of the Naval Shipyard (La Spezia)
Missile Section leader at the Naval Support and Experimentation Center (La Spezia)
Missile Section Leader at the Joint Advanced Ammunition Centre (Aulla)
C4I Section Leader at the ITA Defence General Staff (Rome).
As an assignment abroad, from 2013 to 2026 he was stationed in Brussels at the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) working as Programme Planner within the NATO Ballistic Missile Defence Programme Office (BMD PO). Throughout his assignments he has gained a broad experience in trials/testing, acceptance and qualification procedure of complex naval systems.
In January 2025 he joined OCCAR as Combat System Officer for FREMM programme within the Horizon Programme Division.
