Senior Vice President – Global Maritime Defense Strategy and Business Development,, Teledyne Marine
Dr. Thomas Altshuler is the Senior Vice President, Global Maritime Defense Strategy and Business Development for Teledyne Technologies. He leads strategic defense program development focused on major maritime defense and undersea warfare programs supporting the U.S. Navy, NATO, and Australia. Over the last 20 years, he has led multiple Teledyne business units that develop and supply autonomous systems including multiple types of undersea vehicles and advanced acoustic communications systems to the Defense and Commercial markets.
Dr. Altshuler’s defense technology experience includes four years as Program Manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
He received a B.S. in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and both an M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the MIT Underwater Vehicle Laboratory.
Dr. Altshuler received the Secretary of Defense Award for Outstanding Public Service during his time at DARPA.
