David Cunningham

David holds a BSc in Nautical Studies from Plymouth Polytechnic, UK, and an MSc in Surveying from University College London.

He began his career in television production in London before transitioning to offshore survey operations with Oceonics Intersite BV. David then spent several years as a freelance surveyor and party chief, managing hydrographic and construction support projects worldwide.

Leveraging his extensive field experience, David moved into technical sales roles—first with Submetrix, promoting interferometric sonar systems, and later with TSS, where he specialized in survey and subsea technologies for both commercial and naval defence markets.

In 2008, David joined iXblue to lead commercial activities across civil and defence sectors in the UK. After successfully growing the company’s market share in naval navigation across the UK and Northern Europe, he relocated to the company’s headquarters in 2018. Today, David focuses on developing strategic partnerships and OEM business opportunities for the organisation.
