Colonel David Saflind

David Saflinds military career started with serving in the marine battalion located in Gothenburg. When he had served a few years as a marine technician he was accepted to Chalmers University of Technology where he finished a Master of Science in engineering within the subject of Automation and mechatronics. His career continued with positions working with all life cycle phases of military materiel, e.g. in the Swedish armed forces HQ, assigned in the logistic department. David Saflind has since 2020 served within the Swedish navy in positions relating to the area of combat, service and support. This has included both being in charge of units supporting ongoing operations and developing new methods and organization. The most recent position was deputy CO of the Naval base in Karlskrona. Since February 2024 he is Commanding Officer of Stockholm Marine Regiment. David Saflind has gained knowledge from his military career in military logistics, material procurement and navy operations. His hobbies include an interest in sports and house gardening.
