Captain Alexander Dubnitzki

Captain Alexander Dubnitzki is Division Head Strategy and Policy at the Naval Command in Rostock and is responsible for strategic planning. The recent maritime strategy, published in May 2025, focuses on addressing hybrid actions, as currently observed in the Baltic Sea. It outlines how to effectively counter the increasing threat posed by states like Russia with credible deterrence. Prior to this role, Captain Dubnitzki worked at the Federal President’s Office, where he most recently led the personal office of Federal President Steinmeier. As a naval officer, he served as the commander of corvettes and fast patrol boats.
