Programme Director SSN-AUKUS, Submarine Delivery Agency
Having joined Ministry of Defence as a graduate Naval Architect, I spent foundation years in safety assurance, the early lifecycle design phase for a trilateral programme, and delivering the Type 45 warship into service, alongside the Royal Navy’s Helicopter Carrier and the Amphibious Assault ships. By mid-career, I was delivering strategically important transformation projects like the re-design of defence logistics operations to meet wartime needs. With a wealth of operational and delivery experience, my work transformed equipment management services for the Royal Navy, including Class Output of Type 23 and Type 45 warships and new capability and capacity at the waterfront to support home and deployed operations.
Other career highlights are my work with Ministers leading the Science and Technology agenda; with suppliers to achieve helicopter surge capacity for wartime operations; and in the Rural Payments Agency administrating farming subsidies.
Currently, I am Project Director of the Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy’s next generation attack submarine class, SSN-AUKUS, working in collaboration with industry and international partners to deliver future underwater capability that meets international security and defence needs.
