U.S. Navy Christens Ship Built By Austal

This past Saturday, the U.S. Navy christened a Spearhead-class Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF) ship. The ship allows the Navy to quickly move troops across the ocean. 

Expeditionary Fast Transport ships can be configured to fit various mission sets. The new Flight II Enhanced variant christened this past weekend will give the Navy the capability to aid 147 patients and provide surgical services with two operating rooms [U.S. Navy].
