HMS Prince of Wales and the rest of the U.K. Carrier Strike Group (CSG) have arrived in Singapore as part of Operation Highmast, its eight-month 2025 Indo-Pacific deployment.
The Royal Navy’s flagship and her flotilla have making a port visit to Singapore as part of Operation Highmast’s wider objectives to strengthen regional ties through joint training and engagement and demonstrate Britain’s commitment to Indo-Pacific maritime security.
Across the duration of Operation Highmast around 2,500 personnel from the Royal Navy and almost 600 from the Royal Air Force will be involved in the mission, as well as close to 1,000 British Army personnel.
En route the CSG has already participated in Exercise Neptune Strike under NATO command in the Mediterranean testing high-end maritime strike capabilities.
Further exercises and port visits now follow in the Indian Ocean, with partners including the U.S., India, Singapore, and Malaysia.
The CSG will also link up with 19 partner nations for Exercise Talisman Sabre near Australia, train alongside the Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force, and conduct a port visit to India.
