L3Harris Bags $120m Radio Contract For Marines

L3Harris has secured a $120 million contract to supply U.S. Marines with new multi-channel handheld and vehicle-mounted radio systems.

As per a recent company press release, the new contract brings total orders of its Falcon family of communication systems over the $600 million mark.

The devices' software allow immediate upgrades as and when they become available, and a multi-channel power management function optimizes units' battery life.

President of Tactical Communications at L3Harris Chris Aebli said: “Our continued investment toward high-assurance technology centers around providing U.S. Marines and other customers the ability to operate seamlessly on the move without enemy interference or detection.”
