Japan Signs Deal with US to Purchase up to 400 Tomahawk Cruise Missiles
Japan has signed a deal with the US to purchase up to 400 Tomahawk cruise missiles.
The signing of the purchase agreement was attended by Minoru Kihara, Minister of Defense of Japan and U.S. Ambassador to Japan Rahm Emanuel. Japan will acquire the missiles between 2025 and 2027, ahead of the original schedule.

A sale of up to $2.35 billion for two types of Tomahawks, which have a 1,600-kilometer range, was approved by Washington in November.
