Boeing subsidiary Insitu has won a further contract worth $25 million from the U.S. Navy’s NAVAIR Command to support drone ISR missions.

The firm makes the Integrator and ScanEagle uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) in both standard and vertical take-off and landing variants, as well as the RQ-21A Blackjack, all of which can be deployed from land or sea.

As per a recent Insitu press statement: “The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a competitive Firm- Fixed-Price Order (N0001925F0180) under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-21-G-0007 to Insitu, Inc. on January 27, 2025.

“This procurement provides Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) data collection support services for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Other Government Agencies (OGA).”

The majority of the works, which are set to be undertaken between now and March 2028, will take place in “various undisclosed locations outside of the continental U.S.” according to the U.S. Department of Defence (DoD).

This $25.6 million award is linked to a previous DoD basic ordering agreement against which $16.4m was also awarded in July 2021, $15.7m in June 2022, and $9.3m in August 2024.
