Can it really all be over so soon? The final day of CNE 2025 has come and gone: and the event has finished just as strongly as it started.
Well in excess of 2,200 delegates have passed through the doors of the International Exhibition and Conference Centre in Farnborough, U.K. over the past three days, and they can’t fail to have been impressed by the breadth and quality of content offered inside.
After yesterday’s (Wednesday’s) streams marathon, Day Three began with more of the same: six different theatres with presentation topics from end-users and industry partners split evenly between surface fleet and underwater themes.
Those interested in surface fleets could focus on presentations addressing issues such as ensuring maritime security, sustaining operations at reach at battling the tyranny of distance, and bringing emerging technologies from the laboratory to the fleet.
Under the waves, the topics addressed including ways of increasing platform availability, methods for creating credible anti-submarine barriers, and ways to exploit the underwater domain to maximum advantage.
Then in the final stages, delegates came back together for the final plenary sessions, and had the choice between enjoying insightful panel discussions about AUKUS Pillar I and Indo-Pacific security, or maritime lessons learned from Israel’s Swords of Iron operation in Gaza.
And in between presentations, of course, attendees have continued to enjoy interacting with the 200+ industry exhibitors showcasing their latest equipment throughout the main hall.
There’s no question that the 11th iteration of CNE has had a larger global reach than ever before, with more than 80 nations from all corners of the world making a beeline to what has become the largest annual naval event in Europe.
Navy Leaders would like to extend its thanks to every single person and company which has contributed towards making CNE 2025 such a resounding success. And with around 160 companies having already rebooked for 2026, next year’s event is already promising to be bigger yet. We trust we’ll see you there too!
