NCAGE registered Miko Marine AS was established based on the idea of using magnetic plasters (patches) to stop water ingress and prevent oil spills from ships and offshore installations.
For almost thirty years, norwegian Miko Marine has developed and delivered solutions and special equipment’s for military and civilian maritime industry worldwide. On daily basis, Miko Marine works closely with diving- and salvage companies, oil - and shipping industry and naval forces globally to develop good and effective solutions. Miko Marine's proprietary portfolio includes temporary and rigid equipment for blending of seawater intakes and thrusters, magnetic and non-magnetic flexible plasters to cover/seal openings and hull damages - on magnetic and non-magnetic vessels. Miko supplies solutions suitable for polar conditions, underwater fastening tools, heavy underwater magnets and oil removal equipment (from sunken vessels).
Within Naval Damage Control, Miko Marine has developed solutions for rapid and effective hull damage countermeasures from outside and inside of the hull. By listening to and involving Subject Matter Experts in development processes Miko Marine has been able to deliver desired innovative DC tools to naval forces and DC schools. The Miko Salvage Bag®, an autonomous damage control kit to be used by damage repair parties for immediate countermeasures, is a very good example of such cooperation. Several DC schools has tested and acknowledged this NATO Stock Numbered DC kit that is displayed at our stand.
