Sirius Insight uses a data-driven approach together with innovative deployment of maritime surveillance sensors to achieve cost-effective, persistent and wide-area surveillance, to enhance maritime domain awareness and understanding.
Our INSIGHT™ platform is an open web-based system that brings global data with locally extracted data in a single pane of glass. We offer a modular and flexible approach to meet customers’ operational requirements. We fuse data from a layered Maritime Domain Awareness system comprising a network of distributed sensors on the coast and at sea, airborne and in space.
We apply the latest artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to analyse large volumes of data, transforming how maritime activities are assessed based on known threat profiles and patterns of life.
INSIGHT provides users and decision-makers with real-time, high-confidence, information superiority. It provides autonomous alerts to indicate unusual or suspicious activities, including non-AIS and non-reporting vessels, whose actions represent potential risks in areas of interest in Territorial Waters, the Economic Exclusion Zone and International Waters.
INSIGHT enables effective information sharing and cooperation both nationally and with regional security partners. Data may be extracted from existing surveillance infrastructure, augmented by using our PULSAR®, PULSAR NANO™, QUASAR® and NAUTAR™ platforms.
PULSAR – Real time surveillance for the defence and security of coastal waters, enabling tracking and classification through radar, electro-optical and radio-frequency analysis.
PULSAR NANO – Localised surveillance of inshore waters, ports and estuaries, creating a library of all vessels operating within the area.
QUASAR – UAV Beyond Visual Line of Sight surveillance of the Economic Exclusion Zone, with intelligent routing informed by coastal or other surveillance.
NAUTAR – Integrating patrol vessels and other afloat sensors, allowing real time observation and data from vessels’ sensors and enabling the vessel to see the wider picture.
Options include:
FULMAR – Counter-UAV radar for advance warning of a potential coastal aerial intrusion.
ASTRAR – Satellite-derived data used to verify vessel reporting e.g. AIS.
SPECTRAR – Radio Frequency, Direction Finding (RF/DF) and geo-location.
