Since its founding in 1997, Cold Cut Systems has been committed to improving firefighting safety. The Cobra Method, which allows firefighters to cool fire gases from a secure position outside the fire compartment, is recognised as one of the safest and most effective firefighting tactics available.
Cobra is used worldwide, primarily by Fire & Rescue Services and Naval Damage Control, but also across industries such as MIRG, Coast Guard, Airports, refining, automotive manufacturing, steel and paper production, chemical processing and energy production.
In collaboration with the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) and the automotive industry, Cold Cut Academy has developed a method and tactic for extinguishing electric vehicle Li-Ion battery fires.
